BE IT RESOLVED: that members of the Council of Young Jewish Presidents call upon the established Jewish community to:

  1. Create an ad-hoc Committee comprised of representatives leading Jewish organizations to deliberate and act on behalf of the organizaed Jewish community. The ad-hoc committee would focus on the following activities:

    1. Actively monitor the Iranian threat and all companies engaged in doing business with Iran

    2. Develop an action plan that explores actions including, but not limited to, economic sanctions regarding Iran; prohibiting the investment of assets of any pension or annuity fund under state jurisdictions in any company that has an equity tie or is engaged in business with Iran’s energy sector; urging US hedge funds and other asset management groups to sell, redeem, divest, or withdraw any investments in any company subject to the investment prohibition before a specified deadline.

    4. Encourage state governments to enact legislation prohibiting investing in Companies that do business with Iran other than for humanitarian purposes.

    5. Embark on a coordinated Public Relations effort to alert constituencies of the threat posed by Iran’s actions

  2. Call for the immediate divestment from companies doing business directly or indirectly with Iran which will dramatically affect not only the economy of Iran but also the status of the Iranian Upper Class. LET IT FURTHER BE RESOLVED: that members of the Council of Young Jewish Presidents encourage "average" concerned American to sell shares of companies listed on this website and encourage all like minded people to do the same.
